Strategic collaboration agreement between Avaya and Microsoft to create a range of jointly developed cloud communication solutions. Joint solutions include the Avaya OneCloud CPaaS, Communications Platform as a Service, now integrated with the voice, video, chat and SMS capabilities of Microsoft Azure Communication Services to increase its global reach, scalability and potential. In addition, the two companies havetightened the integration of Avaya OneCloud CCaaS with Microsoft Azure.

In detail, explains a note, the agreement between the two companies provides for the global availability of Avaya OneCloud CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) hosted in Azure; avaya OneCloud CCaaS’ native integration with Microsoft Teams,through the Microsoft Teams Connected Contact Center certification program; avaya OneCloud CCaaS integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365; And avaya SBCs are now certified for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and Media Bypass and designed to complement Avaya’s OneCloud CCaaS solutions.

The collaboration with Microsoft is a key element of Avaya’s ecosystem of strategic partners that is based on a broad collaboration with leading cloud, technology and channel players with the aim of providing customers with flexible, modular solutions with cutting-edge innovations. To achieve maximum visibility and wider distribution of new communication solutions, companies have designed and planned to execute a joint global go-to-market and co-selling strategy.

Avaya and Microsoft are responding to the needs of customers who have asked to provide more integrated experiences for Avaya OneCloud Contact Center by making it available on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
